Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy in calculations, deductions, and disbursements.
- Data Collation and processing : Collect and timely closure of attendance and related data for payroll process. Entering data into payroll databases, spreadsheets and software programs.
- Data Management : Maintaining accurate records of payroll transactions. Maintain and update employee records, including salary, benefits, and tax information
- Employee Queries: Timely response to payroll related inquiries and resolving concerns from employees.
- Payroll allied activities : Timely processing of full & final settlement, Leave management, maintaining update employee records on Keka
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Local labor laws and tax regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes that impact payroll. Ensuring maintenance and upkeep of statutory registers and submission of on time returns
- Reports, Metrics & Analytics : Generate payroll related reports, maintain employee database, Input data and publish various HR dashboards and management reports, as required
- Collaboration: Work closely with the finance teams to reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Software Utilization: Utilize Keka software for payroll processing and reporting (knowledge of Keka is a plus).
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and enhance overall efficiency, being supportive in building tools and spreadsheets to run the employee life cycle process
Qualifications & Skill set required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/Master's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience with strong knowledge in running payroll.
- Technical expertise : Proficient in payroll software (experience with Keka is a significant advantage) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Any other knowledge on IT software and tools will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with labor laws, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Attention to Detail : Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills with an eye for detail
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with employees,internal stakeholders and the finance team.
